I want to understand how this asymmetrical hem is; when flattened out. Are both ends shorter and the rest longer? How long and short for a size 12?

Hi Maria! Thanks for reaching out. For a size 12, we would recommend the Large, which fits a 30"-32" waist.

The hem is asymmetrical, so the length varies around the skirt. On the Large, the shortest point is about 20", on the left side where the skirt fastens closed, and it gradually lengthens to about 32" at its longest point on the right side. Both measurements are taken from the waistband to the hem.
